Stephen Brookover brings over 14 years of federal financial management experience spanning both defense and civilian agencies. He began his career in the United States Marine Corps as a disburser, establishing a strong foundation in government finance operations.
Following his military service, he joined the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service, where he served within the Center for Financial Management (CFM) — formerly known as the Administrative Resource Center (ARC) — a leading federal shared services provider. As a Lead General Ledger Accountant, he supported a diverse portfolio of federal agencies and commissions, driving compliance, strengthening reconciliations, and delivering audit-ready financial reporting.
His work included oversight of TIER/GTAS submissions, financial statements, and Agency Financial Reports (AFR), ensuring alignment with federal standards and regulatory requirements across a broad range of civilian agencies and commissions.
Transitioning to the private sector, Stephen has continued to support the federal financial management community as a contractor, advising on and implementing digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency, data integrity, and financial transparency across government organizations.
